Mas Santo

We were looking at Mas Santo for our 2026 wedding, and the planning has been disappointing and stressful from the start. They won’t provide a preferred or required vendor list until after a 40% non-refundable deposit, and when we asked for an estimated cost, we were told to “google the average price of a wedding.” That was a major red flag when we were preparing to spend several thousand pounds. The dates we were first given were 29th August to 3rd September. Then the host emailed that it would actually be 28th August to 3rd September, which suited us because we could marry on the Saturday. I emailed to confirm the dates and price, and the host confirmed them in writing. Relying on that, we booked return flights for £514 and told close family and friends. But the contract listed Saturday 28th August. When I checked, the host admitted there had been an error and that it should have said Saturday 29th. We sent two very polite, understanding emails about the mistake and got no response for 48 hours. For a business charging upwards of €15,000 a week, this is unacceptable communication, especially for couples making such a major and emotional purchase. There should at least be a dedicated customer service contact to avoid this kind of preventable stress. A polite reply takes seconds. This review could have been avoided, but I’m undoubtedly grateful that these failings at the first hurdle saved us a lot of money and stress.

We celebrated my parents’ 70th birthdays at Mas Santo with our extended family, staying for a week in summer. The villa felt peaceful and private, with spacious, beautifully decorated bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, and a fantastic pool. The poolside kitchen became the center of our evenings for games and karaoke. We also got great recommendations for a catering company that cooked a celebratory dinner for us. Carmen was incredibly helpful and always quick to respond. We couldn’t have picked a better place for the family celebration.

Carmen greeted us on arrival and showed us around, a lovely touch after she’d kept in close contact throughout the year between booking and our wedding. We traveled from the U.S. to stay at Mas Santo and celebrate there, with 22 close friends and family at the property and 60 people attending the wedding. The villa is stunning and thoughtfully decorated, with several spaces for guests to enjoy. The grounds are so beautiful that we were able to save a lot on flowers. Thank you for letting us make four days of memories we’ll never forget. It was magical, and I can’t recommend the villa enough.

Mas Santo was a lovely setting for my 50th birthday and holiday. We had 19 guests and plenty of room throughout the villa to relax. Some of the walls date back to 1608, which gives the place lots of charm. Carmen’s chef and transport recommendations were perfect.
