Lovely.

A good base for visiting Tablas de Daimiel National Park, and parking nearby was easy. The room was new and very clean, with a huge en-suite bathroom that was accessible for people with disabilities. The person who checked us in was very friendly, and they let us arrive very early in the morning. Checkout was also much later than at similar places. The drawback is the distance from cafes and the lack of breakfast service, though there was a coffee machine and other drinks. That’s a minor issue.

For a one-night stop, I picked Room #4 because it was cheap, but it ended up feeling expensive. I barely slept on the extremely soft bed, and the bedding was worn. The fridge was so noisy I had to switch it off; the old air conditioner was loud too, and barely cooled the room. The shower was cramped, maybe 50x50cm, and the towel hook, shower head holder, and other fittings were loose. There was even a clump of limescale at the sink tap outlet, which was honestly disgusting. The place is on dreary streets of houses, some finished and some half-built, with construction right across the road and noise starting early. This didn’t feel like a rural guesthouse, just locked rooms in a sort of chalet. The entrance and stairs seemed pretentious, while the basics like the bed, quiet, cleanliness, and comfort fell short. I don’t recommend it. Jesús was helpful, though. I asked whether they had a comb as an amenity, and he lent me one.

We had a good stay and would come back. Jesús was really nice, and the hotel is fairly close to restaurants and things to see. The room views weren’t the best, and the fridge made a noise now and then that made sleeping a little difficult. Still, the experience was good.
