Only residents can use the grounds, and there’s free parking inside. Albatros is lovely, with palms, lawns, a garden and two pools, plus a direct path down to the sandy beach.

It’s a peaceful spot with lovely green gardens. The pools and ocean are only about 100 feet apart, and restaurants are nearby. You can get to Denia by bike, car, or bus.

Our apartment was a bit old-fashioned, but it had air conditioning, which came in very handy in Dénia’s 35°C summer heat. This is a lovely beachfront residence with two pools, though the apartments can be quite different depending on whether they’ve been renovated.
