There’s no bath in the room, which was disappointing, and getting the keys from a box at the gate felt like a poor welcome since there’s no reception. The sun loungers are all under cover, so none are actually in the sun, which seemed odd. Still, it was a marvellous stay, with a relaxed atmosphere, good breakfasts, a well-stocked honesty bar, and fabulous service. It’s on the edge of town, about 1.3 miles from the centre.

After busy days out, it was lovely to unwind in the garden at Boho Suites, by the pool or bar, on one of the lounge beds. We spent two nights in Denia and rented two electric bikes from the hotel for a day of exploring. Our standard suite was fantastic, with a cozy design, a spacious bedroom and bathroom, and a great bed and pillows. The garden had a wonderfully relaxed feel, almost like another world. The staff were great, and the price for the quality was very good. You can also get really nice Spanish food at the resort. We enjoyed trying different spots around town. Some quiet streets have local bars and restaurants, while Basta and Republic are modern, stylish options near the harbor. For beach clubs, Puro Beach is just outside Denia and has great staff; Zensa Marina and Sounders are both in the harbor. The service at those last two was really bad, so you go for the atmosphere. Denia has all kinds of bars, restaurants, and beach clubs, and Boho Suites made a great place to come back to. If you visit Denia, visit Boho Suites!

The main drawback is the bathroom layout: the toilets aren’t separated from the rest of the room, which can feel pretty uncomfortable when you’re sharing with someone you love. Check-in also seems a little outdated and insecure. Even so, the hotel is quiet and comfortable, with a peaceful feel, and it looks stunning, especially if you’re into Instagram. The experience was positive overall and close to five-star quality for its looks and comfort, though that unusual toilet setup affected my rating.
