Hostal Cristina

There’s only a bed in the room, but it was tidy and functional. My bathroom was a bit cramped, though manageable for one person. There’s no parking right nearby, but La Via parking is only a five-minute walk away.

We found a free parking space nearby, which was lucky, and the location was good. The room was okay and had what we needed. Cleanliness was acceptable but could have been better. The beds were very uncomfortable, though, and we slept badly.

We had a good one-night stay and I slept soundly before checking out the next day. At the end of the road there are breakfast spots, diners and bars with great food and drinks. The small, cosy room had a balcony facing the street, with the beach visible on the horizon. It had its own air conditioning and a little fridge, and the en-suite toilet was clean. The staff were friendly. It’s a 15-minute walk to the beach and two minutes from the Castle.

Denia is amazing and I’d love to visit again. This is a clean, very small place with good air-con, really just for sleeping. I’d stay here again while passing through, but couldn’t picture spending two weeks here unless I was on a tight budget.
