The staff were friendly, and the apartment was well cleaned. Denia and Javea are nice places. But there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. The building is technically outdated and needs renovation. It sits only 10 m from the busy Denia-Javea road, where traffic moves at high speed rather than like city traffic, so there’s no privacy on the front terrace. The crossing of the old and new roads is also 10 m away, and it’s very noisy, as the picture shows. There are no services: the snack bar and restaurant were closed and in ugly condition, as shown in the picture. The toilet is so cramped you have to sit sideways, with no room for your knees. The “back terrace” and main bedroom window face the destinations road just 1m away, with no privacy. That “terrace” is only sand and rocks, as shown in the picture. The hot water boiler is in the closet beside the main bedroom bed. When it’s over 30 degrees Celsius outside and there’s no air conditioning, it keeps you warm. The apartment lighting is ugly and irritating. This might work as a base camp for winter trekking in the mountains, but definitely not as a holiday destination. Don’t book unless you’re sure you won’t get this apartment.

The place needs a complete makeover. It looks rundown and neglected, and the rooms were an even bigger disappointment. The couch in our unit smelled so bad we couldn’t sit on it, and we had to keep the fan running to deal with the stench. Cleaning was every other day, so the bins stayed dirty overnight. They didn’t make the beds either, just left the linen there for us to put on ourselves. Not a pleasant stay at all.

There isn't much nearby in the way of bars, and the resort itself has limited facilities. Denia centre is about 2.5 km away, so it's a bit out of the way.
