La Boticaria Casa Rural Apartamento

The owner made us feel very welcome and gave us maps and suggestions for places to see. We loved staying in the apartment, with its spacious, spotless room and care in all the little details. It’s in a charming, lesser-known village in the middle of the Sierra de Gata mountains. We’d definitely choose it again next time we’re in the area.

Being able to bring pets is the best part for me. They’re family, after all. In Robledillo de Gata, just 3km away, there’s also a bar that lets dogs inside, which is a big help in winter when you don’t want to eat out in the freezing cold. The house is clean and welcoming, right in the town center, so it’s a handy base for visiting nearby villages without a long trip back. The owner gave us brochures about places to go. Our room had plenty of useful things, including basic kitchenware, toiletries, a bath towel, and even a board game. There were coffee sachets in the room, or we could use the machine downstairs in the common room. The owner also offers delicious sweets, and you can pick up a couple of beers for the evening. There are movies in the common room to keep children entertained. 😜 The shower curtain was a bit uncomfortable because it sticks to your skin, and the room lighting was a little dim. Otherwise, it was great. It’s a lovely place, and I’d 100% recommend the owner. Thank you.

The hospitality from José Ignacio and his wife was exceptional, and the people around here were so friendly. We had a spectacular long weekend, with the Sierra de Gata mountains and the natural pools in the area adding to the experience. AMAZING!! 100% recommended.

Peace and quiet are what stand out in this historic, charming country house. The large rooms have big, comfortable beds, good natural light and heating, and traditional regional decor.
