The property is AMAZING, with beautiful, clean rooms and a super yummy breakfast buffet offering generous choices. It was eerily quiet, and we wondered if that was because the owner lives there and has a rule to keep things hushed. Our one-star rating is about the front desk treatment. Michael, an older gentleman, seemed unwilling to answer questions. When we asked twice for clarification about the restaurant onsite, because we thought there might be another one elsewhere on the property, he said, “Do you understand or do I have to repeat myself again”? His condescending manner was unbelievable for someone working at the front desk. The owner should choose staff more carefully. Hospitality is the business, and the front desk is the face that welcomes guests. Fortunately, Michael wasn’t there every day, and Monica at the front desk helped us avoid any more drama and enjoy the rest of our stay. Management needs better people at reception.

If a quiet, peaceful, relaxing stay above the water is what you want, this could be a perfect vacation. The views are beautiful, the staff are so friendly and helpful, and they seem to love their jobs. You can enjoy the pool, drinks, and sun, but the beach is hard to reach and requires a hike. We hiked down to the water. The room was very clean, though not very spacious, which cost it a star. The location lost another star because the road is so narrow and winding that driving it made us nervous. We didn’t drive off the property for that reason.

Pedro, whom we met at reception during the midnight shift on our last night, was kind, polite, and genuinely helpful. If others had shown his professionalism, the hotel might have matched the beauty of its location. The building is stylish and elegant, with clean, cozy rooms and breathtaking views. The atmosphere feels chic and special, like the dream of Deià. Our experience with other staff was very different. The receptionist with an English accent was shockingly rude. When I asked him questions, he would stare blankly, repeat my words in a mocking tone, then answer dismissively. That’s unacceptable anywhere, especially at a premium hotel. The food at the hotel restaurant on our last night was also extremely disappointing. The ravioli tasted like frozen supermarket pasta with jarred tomato sauce. The waiter, Hassan, repeatedly walked away while we were asking menu questions or placing our order. This happened four separate times. When we called him back to add something, he left again mid-sentence and later came back asking, “what were you saying?” We’d already given up. I couldn’t believe a waiter would act this way, especially with hotel guests. At breakfast, I thanked the chef in English for making my omelet. He just stared without replying, although I saw him answer other guests politely in English. It felt like pure disrespect, not a language issue. The property is gorgeous and serene, but the service was the rudest I’ve experienced at a hotel. It felt more like a silent library, where even a small movement made you feel watched. It’s a shame the staff’s attitude spoiled such a beautiful setting.

The staff were always smiling and so kind, and we felt very welcome. It’s a wonderful spot for peace and relaxation. We hiked to the Deia path and to Soller by the pool, going down into the forest. There are three beautiful cats at the hotel, so don’t forget cat food and a bit of pampering for them! We had a wonderful stay, and I forgot to mention that we caught three beautiful sunsets in three days at a table in their restaurant.
