The house has loads of character, but getting there is awkward. It’s hard to reach by car and a long uphill walk from town. The staff were fussy and particular, and not very helpful, sometimes almost condescending. In the room, the furniture was nice, but the door only locks and can’t simply be closed, so you have to carry a heavy key everywhere. You can’t buy food or drinks at the hostel, and there’s no fridge for anything you bring up the hill. The beds are old, squeaky, and soft, and there’s no mosquito protection in the room. For what they charge, there are better options nearby.

This is a low-budget hotel with poor-quality rooms and bathrooms. I was lucky to have a private bathroom. The rooms have no A/C, which made staying here extremely uncomfortable during a summer heat wave. The building is old, though the rooms were fairly clean. The manager/owner doesn’t speak English, so communicating with her is very difficult, and the check-in rules were strange. They kept my passport until the end of the stay to ensure I paid, instead of asking for payment when I checked in. Breakfast was average, but the fresh orange juice was refreshing.

Our room looked out across Deia and down to the sea, and the shared bathroom and shower were so spotless they could have been private. This is a traditional, homely hotel with a genuinely friendly welcome. The owner made large, delicious breakfasts, especially her homemade tortillas. We’d stay again.

Family-run, with the kind of old-school hospitality that felt a world away from Mallorca’s usual mass tourism. It’s a beautiful place, with a lovely view over Deia.

Just above the cute town of Deià, this sweet hotel is a lovely place to unwind and get a feel for the area. The rooms are simple and in style, with comfy beds, and the toilets are clean and neat. The lady who runs the place is so kind, and the complimentary breakfast is fantastic. What a gem!
