Camping Los Manzanos

The pool was great and the bathrooms were good. The pitches are a reasonable size, though some don’t have shade. It was busy, but there was enough room for us to book at the last minute. Do give the restaurant a try, though it gets pretty crowded with residents and locals.

Everything was close by, including the things worth seeing around Galicia. Our room was great and clean when we arrived, with regular cleaning during the stay. The service was good too, even without fancy room service, which I wouldn’t expect at that price. I’d happily come back again and again.

A lovely natural spot, with a stream running through the beautiful, tree-filled grounds. The pool area is nice, and it’s well placed for getting to A Coruña and the beaches. When we visited, though, it felt far too crowded. We waited around 25 minutes in the check-in queue, some groups were very loud and gave the place an odd atmosphere, and the toilet blocks got a bit dirty. I imagine it’s much more peaceful in a quieter period.

We visited in May, and it was lovely and quiet, with lots of greenery and a back-to-nature feel. A very helpful young man greeted us, and the facilities were clean. The access road is quite steep, but there’s another way out if you have a big unit. There’s a beautiful beach nearby. We only tried the pizza at the restaurant, which was okay, though it’s meant to have an excellent reputation and they seemed to make plenty of pizzas. A Coruna is a huge, charming town with a lovely waterfront, but parking is difficult, so go early in the morning.
