Errota Ostatua

We came from Valencia for one night, and the room was more than adequate for the price. There was plenty of parking, and Urko and Markel treated us wonderfully. I'll be back and hope to stay here again. It's worth it.

The room had some nice touches: two curtained balconies with soundproof glass, a desk, TV, heating, and even an air cooler. Ours faced the road. It was surprisingly spacious for such a small inn, though the beds were separate and the mattresses felt a bit too soft to me. I also found a broken bedside lamp. The wardrobe and little tables were useful, but the bathroom door opened straight into the room and its all-white look reminded me of a hospital. We'd come from Valencia for the day after staying at a one-star inn in Amurrio, Álava, and ended up at Errota Ostatua. The man who checked us in was great, really friendly and helpful, and clearly explained the key, room access, and our included breakfast. We checked in through the cafeteria and carried our suitcases upstairs. Bring your own shampoo and shower gel. They provided hand soap, towels, and toilet paper, but we had to ask for more paper after getting just one roll, and the second was nearly empty. Some towel edges were frayed, though they still dried us. There were two glasses but no coasters or anything with them. They did have a hairdryer. The shower needs a deep clean: there was hair on the walls and in the toilet, and the tray looked so dirty that I only used it to dry my feet. I cleaned things with disinfectant, but the tray should be whitened or replaced because it didn't feel clean. For the price I wasn't expecting much, and I liked the room, but basic cleanliness and providing toilet paper and shower gel matter. The parking lot was being built when we visited, which made parking difficult. I hope that's sorted soon. I've attached photos of my experience. Thanks, and please take these suggestions on board. We left our motorcycles safely at the property during our two-night stay. The rooms were very clean, the staff pleasant and kind, and the breakfast there was very good. Excellent value for money, I recommend it. Hello, and thank you.

A good base for a few days exploring Durango and the surrounding area, with parking available and a very convenient location. It's a basic place with simple rooms, nothing fancy, but it was clean and the service was friendly. Just don't expect luxury.
