For a one-star place, this is easily the best hotel I've stayed in. The building feels dated, but the rooms are clean, the food is great, and the staff are welcoming, kind, and helpful. Even the beer mugs were frozen 😂. Honestly, I'd rate it at least two stars, maybe three 😎.

I came back as a tourist after driving the Morocco route for seven years, and booked at the Molinos to see whether it was still run by the same family. Miguel and his mother were there, remembered me, and were genuinely excited to see me again. They’re such warm people and always willing to help. I first knew the little restaurant run by Miguel’s father, Fernando, and his wife. They looked after truck drivers heading to Morocco, and Fernando would wait until 11 pm to serve dinner when we got back from the ferry in Cadiz. The service was excellent, and they were always so helpful. I’d watched the hotel being built in the early 1990s, so returning brought back a lot of memories. If you stop by, try the Ansaladilla Rusa appetizer, it’s wonderful. Miguel, if you’re reading this, sending you kisses. Maybe I’ll see you in May 2026. I’ll brush up on my Spanish 👍🇫🇷.
