The mountain views are beautiful, and it’s a great spot. There’s a grocery store and butcher in the village, just a 5 minute walk away, and the internet is very strong. If you’re driving, take the mountain road to Mombeltran. The view is breathtaking. Strongly recommended.

The house sits in lovely surroundings and is a beautiful place to get away and switch off. But upkeep is lacking: the bathrooms and lights need attention, bulbs were burnt out, and rain leaks all over the staircase. They leave very little firewood, with no way to buy more. We messaged the owners on WhatsApp about a few things and never got a reply.

The only thing I’d change is the barbecue. It’s a portable iron one, and a proper built-in barbecue would suit such a beautiful house and setting much better. Everything else was excellent. The house is bright, with a huge living room and lots of charming corners, and it had everything we needed. The heating was superb, and the hosts were great. We had a fantastic stay in the Sierra de Gredos mountains and will definitely return in spring.

We had an unforgettable time in a spectacular setting. The house was spotless and spacious, with a yard big enough for several cars. It came stocked with what we needed: towels, sheets, several pillows, shower gel, shampoo, detergent, dish soap, and more, so there was little we had to bring.

The family running the house were lovely and suggested some great routes and places to visit in the Sierra de Gredos mountains. I spent a wonderful weekend here in August. There’s lots of room, everything is clean and well maintained, and the back garden is beautiful, just right for relaxing after lunch in summer.
