The price wasn’t even a bargain, and the stay was a nightmare. As soon as we arrived, the musty, damp smell mixed with insecticide was overwhelming. There wasn’t a glass in the bathroom for rinsing, and the spring mattress was awful. The apartments clearly aren’t being maintained. There was a fireplace, though I can’t say if it worked, but no air conditioning or even a fan. The bedroom was up a steep, hard-to-access staircase, and the upstairs had cracked wood and loose floorboards. There was no window screen, so opening a window to air the place out wasn’t really an option. Between the heat, smell, discomfort, and noise from frogs and goats, we couldn’t sleep at all and left after the second night. One of the worst places I’ve stayed in ages.

The village center is just nearby, and there are some lovely hiking trails close by. Everything matched the description and was great. It got quite hot, but switching off the radiators sorted that out. A hairdryer and bottle opener would be useful additions. I’d recommend it.

The man at reception was really kind, and the location is very good. The village is lovely, which makes it a shame that the studio felt a little neglected. It smelled strongly of tobacco, which was very unpleasant for us as non-smokers. I also thought the daily price was too high for its condition.

We absolutely loved the village, so I’ll definitely come back. The location is fantastic, and stepping outside to find the stream is such a peaceful treat. The fireplace was a real bonus, the heating was already on and kept us very warm, and the place was clean. The bedroom stairs were a drawback, and the kitchen could use a few more dishes and utensils.
