The pool and gym are beautiful, and the apartments are lovely in a great location. The pool hours were the one letdown: it was open only from 11 -5 for winter, and on some days it was shut and locked before 5. It’s such a good pool for a swim after the beach, so that was a shame. The reception staff were great and helpful, and self check-in was easy. The maid service every other day was amazing. We’ll be back next year. Thank you Esmerelda El Cotillo!

I made good use of the roof terrace and wasn’t disturbed at all. El Cotillo is developing quickly but still has its traditional roots, and there is building work nearby. The Esmeralda is a short walk from the harbour and quiet, beautiful beaches. The apartment was comfortable and serviced regularly. It had a separate living area, a balcony, and a roof terrace, plus two TVs with English channels. The pool area was nice, and towels were available for a refundable deposit. I also liked the free filtered water machine. Reception closes at 16.00, with no concierge service after that, so you’re given an access code in case reception is closed when you arrive. The staff were all helpful and friendly, with an informal style.

We had everything our family of four needed, including the kids, aged 8 and 5. The apartments are new, modern, and spacious. We tried all the facilities: the modern gym, game room, and lounge. The internet was fast and stable, and the TVs support Netflix. El Cotillo is a great, trendy location that’s still developing. We’ll definitely come back.

We especially liked the terrace, with its two comfortable loungers, seating area, sunshade, and even a drying rack. The apartment itself was roomy, nicely furnished, and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. The whole property is very well maintained and immediately feels comfortable. We really enjoyed our time here and would love to return.
