We often go to Josés bar for the fantastic food, especially what’s by far the best breakfast in the area. This was our first meal in his restaurant, and it was quite an experience. We started with welcome drinks, then had canapés in the kitchen and met the chefs before sitting down to an outstanding 14 course tasting menu. Service was excellent, informative, and discreet. The chef’s approach really came through in the wonderful local produce, especially the fish. I’m allergic to fish, so they prepared a special alternative menu for me. I’m extremely grateful for that courtesy, since other restaurants we’ve tried haven’t been able or willing to meet my dietary needs. José and the whole team are incredible. We hope to come back for another meal and more of those Almeria flavors.

Loved every minute. The service was perfect, and the 14 courses were fascinating, with a very good wine pairing. What an amazing restaurant, it really blew me away. Highly recommend it.

We went for the tasting menu and had a wonderful time. Great food and wines, served by friendly, great staff in a lovely atmosphere.

We chose the more formal of the two dining areas and ordered the degustación tasting menu. The ingredients in every dish were top quality, with superb presentation. It was a really pleasant meal, and the good company made it even better.

Fantastic Michelin star restaurant! It may have just one star, but I’d give it three.
