Oscar, the hotel manager, was so kind and enthusiastic while we were cycling through Portugal and Spain. The next morning we needed a bike mechanic, and although there wasn’t one in town, he offered to drive us to Huelva. Such a generous host. The place is clean and has wonderful views in a lovely location.

We had dinner in Mértola, Portugal, and found it good and inexpensive. Back at Los Pedregales, Oscar looked after us very well. It’s close to the Guadiana River and Portugal, with lots of routes to explore, so I’ll return by bike. The retreat was peaceful, comfortable, well equipped, very clean, and in good condition.
