We had booked a year ahead for the 2026 Indianos festival, then got a message from Booking.com five days before our dates saying the reservation had been canceled by the owner. He never contacted me directly. When I called, he said a crack had appeared in the house and it had flooded, and that repairs would happen during Indianos weekend. What a coincidence. He described himself as law-abiding and said the place was under construction. Imagine our surprise when we were in La Palma and passed by the house, only to find it being rented out. I'll leave it there, host. We'll look into it and take the appropriate measures. Crook, I'd say. We've already filed the appropriate report at the corresponding Civil Guard station.
