The setting around the holiday house is lovely and made for an idyllic stay. For roughly €750 for three weeks, the price felt reasonable, but the mice in the sofa, their droppings, and the holes under the kitchen gas cylinder made it hard to call the stay fantastic. The sofa was chewed up too. There were some practical problems outside. Gravel behind the paved driveway gate kept sliding, so we had to shovel it away before we could drive out. The garden was overgrown, and clearing a path to the upper viewing platform took us more than an hour. The thorns left our legs scratched up.
