Ohtels Les Oliveres

The location is beautiful, and the hotel was kept spotless. Staff were all really friendly, the beds were very comfortable, and the daily room cleaning was great. There were plenty of pools and sun loungers, along with lots of activities and entertainment from the animation team. Only small drawback: some parts of the hotel could do with a refurbishment. If they updated those areas, this would be our first choice for a holiday.

The food was below average. We didn't go hungry, but it wasn't enjoyable, especially compared with the other hotels we stayed in. We were there in October and the weather was bad the whole time, though it was sunny and warm about 50 km away. The room situation was a mess. Our first room was dark and cold, above the kitchen and reception entrance, with dishes banging, tourists coming and going, and cars thumping over a manhole in the road. We asked for a refund for the remaining days, but the hotel refused and said Booking.com had to handle it, even though we'd paid cash at the hotel. We would have happily left. They offered a sea-view room for an extra charge. We called Booking.com, whose support then called the hotel, but staff said they hadn't been contacted. The hotel eventually agreed to move us to a similar room, but it took two days. That room was still noisy in the morning while food was unloaded for the kitchen. One night we were woken at 4 a.m. by cleaning staff working in the room opposite. This is not a quiet hotel. It's surprising to me that the reviews are so good. We also stayed in La Pineda and Sitges on this trip, and Les Oliveres was awful by comparison. I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy.

There were 14 of us, with four rooms close together, which worked well. We took the hotel shuttle into the local town and went on a boat ride, and had a really nice holiday. The food and drinks were good, the rooms were always clean, and there was plenty to do. The kids especially loved the separate indoor entertainment area. We were very impressed and would definitely come back.

The food was honestly delicious, and the team were so friendly and welcoming. The kids had loads of different things to do. In six days I put on 3.5 kg, hahaha 😆. Everything was great, except that you need a car.
