Casa Tanajara

I spent a week here while working in the area, and the quiet made it easy to sleep well. The bed was very comfortable, and the house is in a lovely, peaceful spot. There are lots of thoughtful touches, it’s very well equipped, and everything seems arranged with guests’ comfort in mind. The owners live close by and are very friendly. The value for money is excellent, too. Thanks for everything, Elena 🙂

The owner is lovely, welcomes you in a familiar way, and stays in touch throughout your visit with information and a sense of island life. You can see the effort she’s put into making the stay an experience. The little details are there for guests to enjoy, and the house is cozy, comfortable, and equipped with everything needed.

We couldn’t stay at the property because of a serious security concern, and we were refused a full refund. The windows all have broken locks and can be opened from outside. Since the house opens directly onto the street and has no alarm, I felt it put people and their belongings at serious risk. The barbecue area was in a deplorable condition and smelled strongly of cat urine. Inside, the staircase has no handrail, which is dangerous for children. The property also badly needs maintenance, especially the furniture.

The location is excellent, and my family and I felt very comfortable there. It’s peaceful and homey, with all the amenities we needed. I really appreciated how hospitable the owner was, and how attentive she was to every detail during our stay. We’ll definitely return.
