Our vehicle needed maintenance, so we got stuck in town and searched online for somewhere to stay. We walked in here and got a great rate for three nights. It was clean and relaxed, and they kindly let us check out late. Lunch at the restaurant was lovely homestyle food, with a bottle of wine included. They catered for the vegetarians too.

I couldn’t stay and checked out early because of the noise. The TV in the next room was at full blast, and someone in the flat across the road was playing music just as loudly. There were room problems too: the first one still had the previous occupants’ bed sheets, and the shower drain in the next room smelled.

We needed to stop our Overland Trip for a couple of days because a team member was unwell. This was a very clean, tidy hotel and a nice place to recover. There’s also a medical centre four minutes away if needed.

The menu was cheap, and the dining room and linen were clean. The service was friendly, and the homemade food was both excellent and plentiful.

It’s a simple place, but perfectly good for sitting down to a decent, generous lunch.
