We stayed right in the port area, and the double-glazed windows kept out all the noise from the two busy bars downstairs. The mattress was a letdown, though, sagging at the foot of the bed. There wasn't a proper pillow either, just a couple of soft cushions that really don't replace one. A pillow should be a basic requirement.

The location and the easy check-in were the only real positives. It was noisy because the other tenants were a nuisance, and we couldn't say anything to them. The place didn't look like the photos, and despite us warning them that we had a small child who'd need to use the stairs to the second floor, there was no elevator.

At €150 a night, plus a €100 deposit, this is a large, well-equipped apartment with one double bed, two singles, and a sofa bed for two. It's right in the middle of El Puerto de Santa María's nightlife area. The deposit is returned without even inspecting the apartment, as long as you look presentable.
4/10
The location was the only good part. The beds sagged badly and were so uncomfortable that sleeping was impossible. The place smelled of tobacco and felt dirty, and the sheets smelled dusty rather than clean. The refrigerator stopped working overnight, ruining our insulin, which is essential medication. The shower tray was broken too. A real disappointment.
8/10
The apartment was nice and well equipped, and the location is fantastic. But the check-in time was late and check-out was early, with everything sent by text at very short notice. We were told check-in would be at 12, then at noon got a message saying it had to be at 3. The next day, at 11, they texted that we had 15 minutes to check out.
