Portus Gaditanus s XVIII Patio Andaluz

A good base for visiting Cadiz.

We had a really pleasant stay from November 23rd to 28th, 2025. The only thing we found uncomfortable was the sofa. The apartment's decor and lighting were lovely, and despite being right in the center of El Puerto de Santa María, we slept well without any noise from outside. It's a renovated old house where the owners live upstairs. On the ground floor they've made two small apartments around a charming shared courtyard. Both owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and always available when we needed something. We'd happily return and recommend it.

The tasteful decor makes the apartment feel comfortable, clean, and welcoming. It's in a great central spot, beside a convent where the nuns make delicious pastries. Mercadona is a five-minute walk, while the Basilica and pedestrian streets are about ten minutes away. Check-in was very convenient.

The owners welcomed us warmly and shared all kinds of useful information and tips. They know the area so well, and their enthusiasm really added to the stay. From the apartment in the heart of El Puerto de Santa María, we could enjoy both the town and the wider province, including the beaches and white villages in the mountains. It's a welcoming city with great food and a rich history. The apartment itself is in a beautiful palatial house, decorated with care and every detail considered. We felt at home in the charming patio, and it was a peaceful place to relax or read after a day out. We couldn't be happier, and will return as soon as we can. Highly recommend, a perfect 10!
