Great.

The dinners are generous, and the staff are attentive and friendly. Breakfast was a bit limited. It’s a very clean place, with a lovely building and outdoor areas, and a great base for mountain activities or just enjoying the area.

The setting is wonderful, right beside the village, and there’s a lovely history or legend connected to the place. It was peaceful during our weekday stay, with few other people around. I’d been here once before, and this week we came back for several days. It’s a great place to unwind and have a good dinner after mountaineering and climbing. The staff looked after us so well right up to the last minute. Joseba, the chef, gets a “10” from me. We spent the most time with him, and he surprised us with delicious, generous portions of very well-prepared food. We needed them, haha. Thanks to all the staff. I hope I can come back soon.

It was appalling, to put it mildly. My daughter and her classmates arrived at the hostel on June 11th for their end-of-year trip, but had to leave on the 12th because it was so filthy and the food was awful, like something from a hospital. The teachers complained, then had to take the children somewhere else for the rest of the trip they’d been looking forward to for so long. We have photos and videos of what it was like. I hope the health authorities give them a hefty fine.
