The stars were the best part of my stay, with the Milky Way clearly visible at night. I also loved the old stone house, which has been standing for more than four centuries. The staff don’t speak much English, and one woman seemed a little impatient with people who didn’t speak Spanish.

A good place to set off for hikes, and the evening menu was nice. I only stayed a night, though, and the rooms were very cold after dark. There was no hot water in the shower, and you could easily hear noise from other rooms. Staff don’t speak English; breakfast was very basic, and the swimming pool was broken. It’s quite an experience for a night, and worth a visit.

We stopped here after visiting Masca and found a restaurant in the middle of nature, with rooms available to rent too. The menu of the day was tasty, and there’s a large parking area out front, though the road is a bit narrow. It’s a genuinely special, different place, and also very cozy.

The rooms were cozy, with a fireplace inside and warm beds. There’s no internet in the bedroom, which was actually a nice thing. We only got to stay one night, but we’d come back to Tenerife and stay here again. The staff were so friendly and gave us a nearby short-hike tip we could still use that afternoon. The food was really good too, with generous portions at a good price, just what you want after a hike. Thanks so much, and hopefully see you next time!
