Hotel Agamenon

Andrea stood out for her kindness and warm smile, and the whole team were friendly, helpful and cheerful, whether at reception or in the buffet restaurant. We were even able to check in at 11 a.m., which was a lovely surprise at the start of our holiday. We spent six nights at Seth Agamenón Hotel in Menorca during the second week of August. The hotel was spotless, charming and lovely to look at. We booked breakfast and dinner, and both buffets were plentiful, varied and delicious. Having our meals in the restaurant overlooking the sea made them feel extra special. We loved our stay and would be happy to return.

The room made for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. It had a lovely balcony, a great shower, firm beds, which I prefer, and a mini fridge. I’d happily consider another Seth hotel, perhaps one nearer to a beach. The setting was quiet, and from around the hotel there was a superb view of the harbour. I was welcomed warmly as soon as I arrived, and the woman at reception helped with several questions. Before the trip, I’d also had answers by email, and the website was useful for anything else I needed to know. The pool was clean and refreshing, and the rosemary planters gave the outdoor area a lovely smell. The food was good, though some dishes were better than others and a few lacked flavour. There was lots of choice at the buffet, and the vegetable soup was especially tasty.

The harbour views are lovely, and it was fun to watch the huge cruise ships and ferries make their way into Mahon Harbour. This hotel is a wonderful choice for a quiet, relaxed break, with spotless rooms and a genuinely friendly, hospitable team. Check-in was so welcoming, and the welcome drink was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with fresh fruit, cakes and a good range of hot dishes.
