The homemade stews were delicious, and breakfast was decent. A little fridge in the room would be handy for keeping drinks cold, though there are fresh water fountains around the property. The hotel has separate apartments, which add to the quiet, and there’s a well-kept pool too. It’s a great escape into nature after a short drive on a fairly passable road. They also offer estate excursions, including birdwatching and photography, as well as guided walks during the day and at night. Those can make the stay memorable.

Everyone working there felt genuine, and the facilities were wonderful. There are lovely walks where you can take in all the sounds of nature. The place has such spectacular peace and quiet. It was a unique experience.

We wished we’d booked more than one night. The private cottage had its own small pool, so we could enjoy complete privacy, and it was equipped with everything except a microwave. The electricity and gas are locally sourced. The lodge staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and a meal there with the views from the tables was a perfect end to our stay. It’s a delightful spot surrounded by nature, with no light pollution or noise. Highly recommended if you’re after peace and quiet.

The views were stunning, and I slept really well in the comfortable bed with its comfy pillows. The room was nicely heated too. Dinner was a bit weak, if I had to pick a fault. Argimino, the manager, was the best part of the service. He was attentive and incredibly helpful, and made the experience better.
