Camping Pineta

If you like being outdoors, this campsite is in a lovely spot among the mountains, with lots of nearby hiking trails. A river is a pleasant 5-10 minute walk away. Even in mid-July, snow remains up in the mountains and keeps the water flowing. It's crystal clear, but damn cold. There’s also a clean, nice pool. Our room and shower were spotless, with towels, linens, and everything we needed. The beer was great, easily the best thing we had there, so I ordered a lot of it. The restaurant was more mixed. The hamburger was pretty good, though I didn't think it was worth 15 euros, and it came with a few cold fries. Definitely avoid the soup of the day. It seemed like an instant packet soup, mostly water, with tiny spaghetti bits and three pieces of brownish stuff I couldn't identify. Maybe it was meant to be meat, but it didn't taste like it. It costs nearly 7 euros, despite similar packets being available at supermarkets for 1 euro.

We came in June, in the quiet low season, and found friendly staff and a restaurant serving excellent food. The toilets and showers were clean and worked well. The setting is stunning, with amazing walks nearby: you can drive to the extensive parking or head up the valley on foot alongside the river.

Our pitch in zone z was huge, and the scenery around the area is amazing. We visited in mid June, outside high season, and the hosts were very, very friendly. They also spoke really good English, which was a bonus since our Spanish is minimal. The facilities were good.

The bungalows have beautiful views, and the staff were very friendly. The amenities are great, and the setting is amazing, close to the main hiking trails and just a short ride from France. I recommend it!!!
