Hostal Lami

The walls are thin enough that you can hear everything from the hall and other rooms. It might help to let guests connect Bluetooth headphones to the smart TV, so there's less noise between rooms late at night. Aside from that, it was a very good stay, and I'd stay here again. It's a little far from the center, but the place is well managed, very clean, and comfortable. The AC and hot water worked well, and the bed was comfortable. For people who've traveled a bit, this place should suit a Japanese person.

It's easy to get to the city center from here, with the tram very close and a bus stop nearby. There's also a shopping mall close by. The hostel's location is really good. Our room was small but nice, and the air conditioner worked. It was cleaned well every morning. We booked breakfast, which was nice to have, though it was the same each day: bread, eggs, cheese, charcuterie, one fruit option, plus pastries like mini croissants and mini cakes. It's a nice, inexpensive hotel and looks like the photos, so you can book without hesitation.

Hostal Lami comes with a full recommendation. It's off the beaten path, which I liked, and made us feel part of the local culture. There are plenty of little shops and bakeries around. The hostal feels like a hotel, and the small rooms were still sufficient. We'd reserved a queen bed but got two twins pushed together. It was a minor inconvenience, though they warned us at check-in that would happen.

The stay was okay, nothing awful but nothing special. I wouldn't rush to come back. When I checked in, there was no soap in the shower, even though I'd expect that as a basic amenity. I called reception, thinking they'd send some up, but they told me to come downstairs and collect it myself. After traveling, that was the last thing I wanted to do. Small things like that make a difference, and it didn't feel welcoming or convenient.
