Breakfast was superb, well beyond what I’d expect from a 3* place, and dinner was top notch too. There’s a great menu del día as well as a decent a la carte selection. I had a spacious, comfortable room, and the bathroom was clean and functional. The terrace at the back is lovely, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. This charming, rustic hotel is in pretty Esporles, well placed for visiting the villages and coast of the Tramuntana mountains. I’d gladly return.

The price was €120 a night the week before Easter, and we’ve had better accommodation in Mallorca for less than half that. Breakfast was delicious, though, and we loved the historic building, the location right on the GR221 hiking route, and the lovely hosts. They went out of their way to welcome us, even letting us sit in the closed Restaurant to eat our takeaway pizza and bottle of wine. Loved the host and the place, just not the price.

The staff were friendly and breakfast was good, but I wouldn’t recommend the hotel because of the room. We booked through booking.com after the hiker’s hostel was full, and got a basement room, which I hadn’t expected for the price. It had one small window facing the street, so all we could see was people’s feet. If that had been advertised, we might have picked somewhere else, or expected a lower price. I don’t think a basement room is standard.

We came here after a long day on the GR221 and had a brilliant stay. The breakfast was exceptional value, and the hotel is beautiful. The ceiling hooks and bars on the windows made our room look a bit like it might once have been a medieval torture room. I like that, though, it gives the building character.
