Apartamento Estepona Golf

The fairways are wide and there’s hardly any water, with plenty of slope, so a buggy is a must. The buggies have displays with interactive maps and GPS that show the distance to the green. Staff were friendly and helpful, and they lent me a left-handed putter at no charge when one was missing. Great value for the price, and definitely worth another visit.

The welcome was friendly, and they let us start later because of a highway traffic jam. Still, many of the paths and fairways were in such poor condition that they didn’t justify the price we paid. A major investment to rebuild about 60% of the course, including the buildings, would make more sense. Sorry to be so blunt, but unless Estepona Golf is properly improved, I won’t play there again. There are some great layouts, plenty of elevation changes, and stunning views, so the course has a lot of potential. But many fairways were in poor shape, with large bare patches and rock-hard ground. The greens were okay, though very slow. I’d say 3.5 stars is probably fair.

The clubhouse was a highlight for us, with great food, lovely staff, and a nice shop. Out on the course, the fairways are wide and green, with views over the Mediterranean. The buggy was good too, with a Marshall function and distance to the green. A relaxed place to play and superb value for money.
