Brand New, Luxurious Ground Floor Apartment in Mirador de Estepona Hills

We spent 10 days at Estepona Holiday Hills for a wedding in Spain. It was a lovely quiet base away from the bustle, and the place itself was clean, modern, and fab. Both pools were great, and each pool bar had good food and cocktails. There’s a gym, a tennis court, and even a little beauty place where I got a pedi. The old town is about 20 minutes away and the beach 30. Highly recommend for couples, groups, or families with young children.

We had a game of padel on site and really enjoyed it. The apartments are super spacious and luxurious, and there are two lovely pools. A car would be handy, though getting a taxi back from Estepona one evening only cost us €7. We’d definitely visit again.

The complex is stunning and clean, and the apartments are beautiful. The gym and padel facilities are phenomenal. But the pools are a real problem, especially in peak season. The quieter second pool has a lovely cafe but only around 30 sunbeds. The main pool is very large and attractive, with about 100 beds. That’s roughly 130 for perhaps 500 people, and it just doesn’t work. I’ve had countless fights over sunbeds. If you leave yours for 30 minutes, people throw the towels on the floor. There’s also something odd about the pool chemicals: they turn clothes green, and the water has a green tinge. The pool is often shut for 24 hours because kids turd in it. They’re building more dwellings without adding pools, so the problem is getting worse. You need a car because it’s out of the way up a hill. Lidl and sldi are 5m drive away, and the beach is 8m drive. I wouldn’t come for a summer or peak season holiday again, but would consider it outside school holidays.
