H10 Estepona Palace Hotel

We liked that the hotel sits on the outskirts, so it’s quiet but still easy to reach Estepona. It’s about 10 minutes by bus or a 35-minute walk along the seafront. We went into town three times for coffee and tapas. We were on half board, which suited us, and hotel drinks were reasonably priced. We’ve just come home after seven days and would definitely return. There’s plenty to do if you want activities: Pilates, aqua aerobics, tennis, archery, darts, table tennis, and pool. The entertainment staff were friendly and hardworking. Evenings had bingo before the live acts, including singers, dancers, and a magician. I mostly relaxed by the pool and didn’t use the spa or gym. The pool area was lovely, although the sunbeds were very dirty, uncomfortable, and looked old enough to need replacing. The hotel is spacious and clean, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our superior room, 301, was spacious, with evening sun on the balcony and a partial sea view. It had comfy chairs, a TV with English channels, a safe, fridge, air conditioning, and a kettle for tea, but no coffee. You can hire a coffee machine, though we just bought coffee at the supermarket. The bed was hard but comfortable for us, and we had three pillows each. Shampoo, shower gel, hand wash, and body lotion were provided, with towels changed daily. The over-bath shower was hot and powerful, and had grab rails and a bath mat, but the grouting and tiles needed maintenance. The restaurant had plenty of varied food, and we never had to wait for a table. There’s a microwave if you want to heat anything. My only complaint was the sparrows getting into the restaurant through the electric doors and helping themselves to uncovered food. There were only a couple, but it didn’t seem hygienic. The cereal, bread, biscuits, pancakes, and rice should be covered. Birds were also a nuisance in the pool bar, especially outside when people were eating. I liked that the hotel is quite green, with reusable cups and water fountains in the lounge bar and by the pool bar.

The hotel felt caring and well run, with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The staff across reception, customer services, housekeeping, the restaurant, and behind the scenes worked hard and took pride in what they did. We’ve just returned from a wonderful four-week all-inclusive stay at Estepona Palace Hotel. Sabrina deserves a special thank you for her warmth, professionalism, and personal attention. She went above and beyond and made us feel valued. Her reception team were fantastic too, especially Diego, along with Diana from customer services. They were all friendly, efficient, and provided outstanding service throughout. Thanks to everyone at Estepona Palace Hotel for making the long stay so enjoyable and memorable. We’d gladly return and recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Estepona.

The grounds right by the sea are beautiful, and the communal areas look stunning. We had a privilege sea view room upgrade, which was worth it: there’s an indoor lounge with wine, spirits, and soft drinks open all day until 11pm, plus a private terrace with sunbeds and complimentary drinks. They also provide a free newspaper each day. Dinner on half board was very good, with lots of fish and meat cooked fresh to order. The room itself was great, with a comfortable bed, a choice of pillows, a sea-view terrace, and quiet nights. My only complaints were stained corridor carpets and bathrooms that felt shabby and poorly finished. I don’t understand the average 4.1 rating. This hotel is much better than that, with friendly staff and a lot to like. Thoroughly recommend it.

We had a really nice time here with an incentive group of 50. The staff were kind and flexible, and we worked together as one team. There were smiles, sunshine, and very good food with lots of local flavors. I’d like to come back soon.
