We found the hotel comfortable and well kept, with spacious rooms, a large kitchen, and a big balcony. We made use of it for barbecues nearly every evening. Since it was the Christmas holiday and the hotel was quiet, we could enjoy the warm pool and jacuzzi with the children. The location worked well for us, about 10 minutes from Estepona and around 15-20 minutes from Marbella. There are plenty of good restaurants close by, along with a Turkish restaurant where we enjoyed a traditional breakfast. Lidl and other supermarkets are about a 19-minute walk away. We spent ten days here over Christmas and New Year as a family and had a lovely stay. The place was clean and organized, and the reception staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. The hotel is close to the sea, though rainy weather on several days meant we couldn't swim there. The children and we felt very comfortable, and the spacious rooms made it good value for a family holiday. One small nuisance was a nearby chicken farm or coop: the roosters were a bit disruptive in the mornings. Other than that, we enjoyed everything and would recommend it for a family break.

There's a local beach about a five-minute walk away, and Lisa's nearby sells baked goods, drinks, milk, and other basics. The villa itself is lovely, with roomy bedrooms and air conditioning controlled by remote. Most villas also have an outdoor space that's nice for relaxing in the evening. Everything we needed was there when we arrived, including bed linen and cutlery. Check the drawers for the pots, pans, cups, and plates. The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, microwave, filter coffee machine, and kettle. The shower pressure isn't great, though it wasn't a problem for us. Reception stays open until 10pm, and the staff are helpful if you need extras such as toilet paper. We're here for a week and would highly recommend it.

The restaurant on site made it easy to take it slow, with great food and service. The resort is also well placed for getting around and exploring nearby attractions and places. We had a wonderful 12-night stay at Macdonald Villacana with our three children. The gardens are stunning, and the whole resort is peaceful, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. This was our second visit, and we'd happily return. We had a fantastic family holiday and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-kept resort with outstanding service.

Gregorio's nearby is a great restaurant, and the resort itself looks pretty. It's good value, though this isn't the nicest part of Estepona. To reach the beach you have to pass some abandoned hotels. The beds were just okay, not especially comfortable.

There's plenty to see and do around here, especially if you have a car, and the bus stop is only a short walk away. Restaurants and the nearby towns of San Pedro and Estepona are also close. The beach is reasonably near. The site has good facilities, including three pools and a very good restaurant. Bedrooms are nice enough, and there's free Wi-Fi and a free safe for valuables. One room's air conditioning wasn't working properly. There's a small shop for essentials, and supermarkets are nearby if you're driving. A good option for a family holiday.
