Villa Tranquilla

The apartment by the pool meant people were constantly in my space, so there was no privacy. It was dirty and smelled of sewage. The sink chain was rusty, the hairdryer and lights didn’t work, and the patio door wouldn’t close properly. It’s miles from anywhere. I’d thought the host was nice, but after I left my review on Booking, he sent abusive WhatsApp messages. Avoid it. A horrible place and a horrible man.

We stayed in the duplex apartment, which had loads of space, a home cinema and a big terrace with a great barbecue. The heated pool was lovely, especially at the end of the year, and the whole place felt like a peaceful little oasis while still being close to Estepona. The villa has amazing views and is in a great spot. Philip was attentive, quick to answer questions and full of useful recommendations. A wonderful place to stay.

Philip was friendly and attentive throughout our winter stay. We enjoyed the sea view, the lovely garden and the very good amenities. There’s a heated pool too, if you want to use it. A great place even in winter.

Philip and his dog Kenzie made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The place is genuinely quiet and tranquil, just as its name suggests. Philip was happy to help with any questions and had plenty of ideas for places to visit and eat.
