Don’t miss the stargazing with Fr Fernando. He’s a treasure, and we had an amazing stay!

I only wish I’d stayed longer. The people I met were so kind, and I’m grateful to Padre Fernando and all of them. It’s a beautiful place to reflect and feel a greater sense of humanity and fraternity. Everything seems guided by the golden number and architectural perfection, alongside the search for perfection in your own soul.

The meals were simple, healthy, and easy to enjoy, and they even showed us the starry sky. Everyone on staff was charming and helpful. The Monastery itself was clean, nice, and very calm. We loved our stay and will try to come back.

We stopped for lunch, which was simple and really good at 15€. The long refectory tables make it easy to meet interesting people, and we met Joaquín & Clara from Cataluña. Ana, an excellent guide and art historian, helped us make sense of this year’s exhibition on 'Death', with 38 artists connected to the Province of Teruel interpreting the theme. It was fascinating, not depressing at all, even for someone in their 70’s!! Padre Fernando and his team at the Monastery are full of initiative, putting on modern art exhibitions and starlight events. This place is off the beaten track and well worth a visit. Congratulations to everyone bringing this historic building to life in the 21st Century.

Motorcyclists, this is a MUST BE stop. It’s right by the Silent Road, and the atmosphere is just gorgeous.
