Hostal Etxeberri

Please avoid this place. We waited 30 minutes for croquetas, and they arrived burned. The food was terrible, and the staff were super unfriendly. They were literally laughing and didn’t seem to care. The rudeness was on another level. The waiter with a nose piercing was very disrespectful. First and last time I’ll visit.

With every hostel room in Larrasoana booked, the owner kindly came to pick us up in a van. We were walking the Camino Frances as a group, and sharing rooms kept the stay very affordable. On short notice, the owner's wife managed to put together dinner for all nine of us and was very accommodating. Many thanks to them both, two of the planet's “good guys”.

We stopped at the coffee shop for drinks on the terrace. The views were awesome, and the place is cozy, but the service let it down. A guy stood right by the door without approaching our table to take our order. We wondered if that was just how things worked in the area, but then saw him serve another table. We ended up going inside to order and then had to carry everything back out ourselves. It was a ridiculous situation when you're presumably paying for service. I hope they improve that part, because the place has potential.

The views of the landscape are beautiful, and it’s well located. The bartenders were nice, and the menu was decent.
