The house and rooms are beautiful, which makes the service we got all the more disappointing. The owner has a lot to learn. The website’s prices and conditions weren’t honoured, and the advertised services weren’t available apart from breakfast. She doesn’t seem to understand how much customer service matters, and spends time making excuses for things that aren’t right. I hope she changes her attitude soon and that the business does well.

It’s so quiet and peaceful here, just right for relaxing. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the mattresses and pillows are especially comfy, so you sleep really well. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced, and the hostess was incredibly welcoming. Everything was excellent. I’d definitely come back.

The house itself is lovely, from the decor and surroundings to the comfort, and breakfast was very complete. But I wouldn’t trust the website. The owner said they were “updating it,” though it wasn’t temporarily blocked. The listed conditions weren’t honoured. The price changed when we arrived, and the high-season period was extended by 15 days just as we booked for low season. Curious, to say the least. Online reservations don’t work either, so you have to book by phone or through Booking.com or Trivago, which costs more. There’s nobody there when you arrive or during the day, apart from at breakfast. The owner’s service was a major problem: she was only available by phone, very unfriendly, and showed no interest in making guests happy. One day our room wasn’t cleaned, and we were told cleaning wasn’t included and was being done “as a favor,” despite it having been cleaned the day before and other rooms being cleaned too. How curious. Even the reviews seem unreliable, since apparently the house changed owners recently and the ratings are from the previous setup, over two years ago, which must have been much better. It’s a shame that ambition and arrogance have spoiled such a beautiful place.

The hostess, Paloma, was so attentive and friendly, and the surroundings felt wonderfully natural. This country house was a 10 out of 10 for us. The house is charming and our room was spotless. It’s a great fit for anyone who loves nature or wants to disconnect. There’s even a small pool we weren’t expecting, perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day.
