Sa Galera Hotel Rural

We stayed in Calitja, a private casita and one of the property's newly added or refurbished units. The loft-style layout has a brand new bathroom upstairs, plus our own patio and lounge chairs. We really liked having privacy away from the other rooms. The hotel is out in the countryside, quiet, and within reach of Mallorca's small towns and beautiful beaches. There's a pool for relaxing, too. Eva checked us in and was so kind, making sure we had a memorable stay. Breakfast is available daily, though it may be included in some bookings and costs extra with others. The restaurant serves dinner Thursday to Sunday, and it's best to book ahead. There's also a daytime bar with drinks and small bites. If you want somewhere peaceful after a day out exploring, we'd recommend booking here. We hope to return.

Jana deserves a special mention for the massage. I'm a therapist myself, and I was really impressed by how intuitively she worked on areas of tension. It was dreamy and relaxing, one of the best massages I've had. Thank you again, Jana. The setting is incredibly beautiful and relaxed, the staff are lovely and helpful, and the rooms are clean with very large, comfortable beds. There are plenty of comfortable sunbeds, and the pool is a good size.

We liked the pool area, and the place was beautiful and generally well looked after. We booked almost at the last minute and didn't regret it. Staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. The location worked well for visiting beaches, with Cala Santanyi about 15 minutes away by car, and we had a nice dinner there one evening. A couple of things could be better. Wi-Fi didn't work in our room, Altina, or even in the corridor or near reception when I needed to join a work call, so I gave up and used my phone. We stayed four nights and got a bit tired of having almost the same breakfast each day. They did vary the fruit, but the rest was essentially the same, and tomato was the only vegetable option.

The rooms are lovely, and the hotel is a beautiful, peaceful place. Breakfast was fresh and amazing, and the staff were kind and super friendly.
