Son Terrassa

For our last night in Majorca, we had a romantic dinner on the lovely terrace among olive trees, with stunning views. The service was exceptional. My companion had the beef carpaccio and I chose the duck and goat cheese salad, and both were delicious. Then we shared the T-bone steak, the meat special of the day. We agreed it was among the best meat we’d ever eaten. I highly recommend this restaurant.

At Son Terrassa, the setting is elegant but still relaxing, and the view made the evening feel special. The staff were friendly and attentive, and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented dishes. A wonderful meal, and highly recommended for anyone after authentic flavors in a stunning setting.

We stayed for three nights, and also ate at the restaurant once. It’s a little out of the way, but that makes it peaceful and quiet. The hotel is clean and beautifully kept, with green grounds, flowers, and lots of plants. We were in the main building, one of what I think are three or four buildings. The Spanish-style decor is stylish and well maintained. Our room had a very large double bed, tea and coffee facilities, a small fridge, a safe, and a large whirlpool bath with shower. Towels were provided for both the bath and pool. Helen checked us in, was so friendly, and marked nice places to visit and nearby supermarkets on a map. The pool area was great, with a jacuzzi in one corner and enough loungers and tables and chairs for the guests. Breakfast is served there, with mostly fresh fruit, pastries, and bread, plus eggs made to order and fresh coffee. The pool bar serves drinks and small plates until 6 pm. The hotel is run by a small family, who were all friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is open to non-guests, but you’ll need to book. It’s right beside the hotel, with an outstanding sunset view, so try to request a table with a view. It gets busy, the menu is extensive, and the portions are big. We had some of the best Spanish food there. Everything was great: quiet, clean, picturesque, and backed by great service.

You’ll definitely need a car to get to beaches and other places. We loved the peaceful hotel, the staff, and dinner with the sunset, good food, and drinks. The restaurant service could have been a bit more attentive.
