Hostal Magallanes

The staff were warm and helpful, and the place was noticeably clean. The low price was a plus, though the heating came on late and the room felt cold. Rooms are small and dated, with worn towels and sheets, mattresses and pillows that need replacing, and a shower screen due for an update. My rating falls somewhere between fair and good, a choice the rating options don't offer.

We were touring Galicia and needed a place to rest for one night, and for what we paid, it worked out fine. The room was clean, with single beds, and the receptionist was very friendly. We could hear the trains passing on the tracks behind the room, though, and they disturbed us.

Very clean, and the owner gave us a room with a fairly spacious balcony. The hostel is a bit old, with small beds and thin mattresses, and the shower is quite cramped. Still, for a one-night stay like ours, it was great.

The staff really look after their guests. Everyone was friendly, polite, and helpful, so service gets 5/5 from me. The rooms are tiny but cozy, and I really liked the little balcony. There are downsides: trains nearby and other guests make it noisy, while the small bathroom feels dated. But it was clean, and I'm happy with the stay, no complaints. It has automatic blinds, shower gel and soap, a closet with hangers, blankets, a TV, and good heating. You can be comfortable hanging around in your underwear.
