Casa Rural Perico

My partner booked this through Airbnb as a birthday present for my parents and our pet. They also brought another pet. The listing said pets were accepted, with no further details about a fee. The house itself was wonderful and everything worked perfectly, but the problem came when we were leaving. The owner wanted extra cash for the dogs outside the app, even though no animal charge appeared in the booking. Airbnb told us we shouldn’t have to pay since it wasn’t included. The woman who had greeted us, and wasn’t part of the reservation, demanded the money rudely, shouting and arguing that she was very old and didn’t know anything, and that it was for extra cleaning, even though we left the apartment clean. We offered an invoice for the payment and she flatly refused. The owner later contacted us to request payment by Bizum, saying we hadn’t told her about the other dog and that sometimes she charges for it, and that she can charge whatever she wants as the owner. She seems to forget that she also has responsibilities, including clearly listing charges and communicating better with guests. We’ve left it to Airbnb to handle. We always travel with our dog, and when there’s a surcharge, websites normally state it clearly and collect it at booking. We were very unhappy with this reservation.

Pilar and her daughter Yoli were so helpful and attentive. They even shared some of their own garden produce with us, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and eggs. It’s a beautiful spot for a holiday, hard to imagine finding a better one. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely come back.

The family who runs the place was lovely, especially Pilar, who felt like one of our own. We only spent a few days there, but it was peaceful and pleasant, and the location made it easy to get around. Hugs to the family! :)

Pilar and Yolanda made us feel very welcome in this cozy, quiet rural apartment. It’s a lovely place and well situated for visiting nearby towns and getting out to enjoy different activities. Highly recommended.
