I’d put it at 3.5. The location in Finnistara is stunning, and the lovely breakfast and attentive young woman serving it gave the place an upmarket feel. Still, it was shabby and a bit run down. Some small tiles were missing in our shower, and the sofa in the foyer was worn and torn. I didn’t try the spa, so can’t comment on it. With some care and an update, this could be a five-star stay. Sadly, that wasn’t our experience this time.

We had a fabulous stay on our last day of hiking to finishterre. Our sea-view room was lovely, and spotless, with very comfortable beds. The hosts were great, and the shower was excellent. We ate at their restaurant and had unreal food with great service, all during the most perfect sunset. A great experience with fabulous owners.

The lounge restaurant right next door serves locally produced meals and amazing cocktails, and sunset there was fantastic. Staff were lovely too. Our room was tidy and clean, facing a spectacular sea-view terrace. It’s a quiet, beautiful oasis in a perfect location, with modern necessities, especially the wellness spa area. We had a perfect time and would highly recommend it. We’ll be back!

After the Camino, this is a perfect place to treat yourself. The balcony, bar, and lounge all have fantastic views over the beach, so you can sit down with a good meal or drink and watch the sunset. The rooms are neat and clean, the staff super friendly, and the spa area is clean and nice as well. I can truly recommend the hotel.

The service was wonderful, and I enjoyed the sound of the waves. The room was clean, and the shower had good water pressure, though be careful with the sprayer: water can shoot through the gaps in the door. An extra towel for the floor would’ve helped. The restaurant next door does really good pulled pork.
