Hotel Montrubí 1771 - Slow Winery Hotel - Adults only

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially with our five big suitcases after three weeks in the UK and Spain, coming from HK. One tip: Casa Gran is the hotel, while MontRubi is the winery that owns it. Check in at reception (MontRubi) without your bags first, then drive across the road to the separate hotel building and unload in front. There’s a lift if your room is upstairs. The hotel has only 10 rooms, each different, with comfy beds and pillows and a light, soft duvet. It’s small, quiet, cozy, and tranquil, especially with the windows open to birdsong and leaves rustling in the wind. The vineyard was beautiful, and the restaurant had amazing views over the seemingly endless vines and pool. We left feeling refreshed, and brought home some of their wine and a few of their own amenity products.

We had a great experience and loved the wines, so we’ll definitely come back. The infinity pool and gym were a nice extra. It’s a cozy, very clean and comfortable hotel, with exceptional staff, a nice restaurant, and a wine bar offering a wide range of MonRubi wines, which feel central to the whole property. Its location in the middle of Alt Penedès is superb and well connected to other vineyards in the region. I really recommend it, top at every level.

A perfect escape, about 40 minutes outside Barcelona, surrounded by miles of vineyards. This enchanting boutique hotel has carefully put-together rooms, with details ranging from modern conveniences like AC, TV, and WiFi to lovely locally made shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The rate is spectacular, and the rooms blend the character of the old with the cool of the new.

The wines are made right there at Mont Rubi, and you can taste them in the restaurant. Set among vineyards with stunning views, it’s a great weekend escape from town when visiting Barcelona. Highly recommend.
