Apartamento Ses Botges - Formentera Break

The apartment's location is the one real positive. The place was nothing like the website photos: very old, dirty, and with a horrible smell. The bathroom seemed decades old and was disgusting. Even stepping into the shower was unpleasant, so we wore sandals; everything looked badly worn. During our five-day stay, each person had one medium and one small towel, with no fresh towels or sheets, and there wasn't even hand sanitizer. The parking area was full of people who weren't staying there. The young woman and man who welcomed us at Formentera Break were incredibly nice, though. They suggested places for meals and breakfast and were very helpful. The accommodation left so much to be desired that I'd give it a negative rating if I could.

The place is peaceful and in a good location, but there are so many things missing or in poor shape: no washing machine or toaster, few kitchen utensils, uncomfortable beds and sofa, outdated furnishings, and no outdoor lights. They also charge an extra €59 for cleaning when you leave.

The only thing in its favor is that it was somewhat clean. Otherwise, the facilities were awful, especially after being described as completely renovated. They provide the bare minimum, just a towel that's barely big enough, two forks, and two glasses. It's ridiculously expensive for what you get, with a terrible quality-to-price ratio. I'd give it zero if I could.

The kitchen looks ancient, with switches right beside the stovetop, which feels dangerous. They say the place was renovated, but apparently back in 1994. The TV is tiny and the wiring is awful, and the beds are so hard they could wreck your back. There are loads of mosquitoes, but closing the windows to keep them out means hearing more of the noise. The spot is only 50 meters from the beach and surrounded by pine trees, but the island's main road is just 20 meters away. At peak holiday times the traffic sounds like the M40, A3, or A7, with thousands of noisy 50cc scooters as well as quads and cars. It's impossible to rest, not even a minute of quiet. I wouldn't stay again.
