The owner was handsome, and the villa had a cozy, distinctive island-style design. It’s one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. If I get the chance to visit FORMENTERA again, I’ll stay here.

The host was really helpful, even driving us both ways so we could transport the carry-on that wouldn’t fit on our scooter. The cottages are small, private, clean, and secluded, with a view. They’re a bit far from the beaches, so you’ll need a scooter or car. There’s no breakfast, but the host provides Nescafé, tea bags, and a bottle of water. You may want to get more, since the tap water isn’t drinkable. The upstairs cottages have ocean views; the downstairs ones have kitchens. A small, portable, effective beach umbrella is provided, but there’s no other beach equipment. The nearest restaurant and supermarket are at the junction with the main road, about 2 km away, too far to walk in the Formentera summer sun. It was a very nice stay.

I felt welcome, and the place is really beautiful. The bungalows looked just like the photos and description, and the rooms were very clean. The hosts were friendly and helpful. As far as I know, they speak more than four languages, including English, German, Italian, and Spanish. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is that it’s a bit far from the center.
