We booked this little apartment at the last minute and stayed four nights, as we had to get to nerja in a hurry after my friend had just lost her husband. It had just enough room for the two of us, and I’d definitely recommend it.

If you book through Booking, they may lose money, but at least you might hear from the owner when you try to contact him after arriving. That could save you from having to find somewhere else to sleep for the night.

Close to Frigiliana old town, this is a rural place with good facilities.

The setting is lovely and quiet, away from the tourist center, with two pools in good spots and fruit trees framing a beautiful view. Inside, though, ants were everywhere, and our towels and sheets stayed the same for all eight days. We also had to take our rubbish out ourselves: there was no nearby bin, and management didn't handle the waste, so each day we carried it back to the car. The toaster cord was wrapped in tape, which didn't feel reassuring. These things could be fixed and would make the stay much more satisfying.
