Villa Morera Garden Villa 5 pers, 2 bedrooms with extra rooms when needed

The helpful host and the views earned the two stars, but this B&B was such a disappointment that we left after 2 nights instead of staying for 3. The room was dark, damp, old, and gloomy. I've never slept on a less comfortable bed. It was also extremely noisy whenever one of us moved, waking us both. Water pipes ran right above our heads, and a toilet flush or water running upstairs sounded like an explosion in the room. The bathroom was extremely basic, without even a bar of soap. Breakfast was a joke. Hosts at a B&B usually take pride in homemade treats, but here we got reheated supermarket croissants and tortillas. The fruit was worst of all, or rather the lack of it: just two slices of canned pineapple. That's no joke. Andalusia is the fruit basket of Europe, and we'd seen and eaten wonderful fruit from local shops and roadside stands. The pool was nice enough, but there were no towels for it, and we were told to use our bathroom towels. The grounds have some nice trees, but need care, and there were strange plastic flowers and plants among them. This place urgently needs renovating and someone to cook breakfast. Right now, I don't think it deserves more than 2 stars.

The hosts provide a generous breakfast, a lovely way to start the day. The gardens are well kept, with lots of shade and privacy, and there's a pool right by the villa, which is ideal for families. It's a perfect spot, a short distance from Nerje and Frigiliano, with plenty to see nearby and great places for dinner. This is an oasis in Spain.

Our family is grateful to the Host for the warm hospitality. We had aaaalllll the things needed to live comfortably and enjoy our stay. Villa Morera is well worth visiting, and this is definitely somewhere you'd want to return to. The sunsets over the mountains and sea are perfect. The unique plants and fresh air, full of different scents, help you relax in a moment. A little piece of heaven, trust me!

The view is nice, but we left one day early because we couldn't put up with the old equipment, and nothing was fixed after we raised the issue. The air conditioning isn't proper, heating is limited, the WiFi doesn't work, and noise carries badly between rooms. The shower and bed are old, and the bed isn't flat. Parking is limited when all rooms are booked, and breakfast is very basic. You also can't expect guests to tidy every corner or do their laundry before leaving. I need to raise a red flag about the owner, who doesn't seem neutral or fact based. Customers are treated differently, though I'm not sure whether it's based on ethnicity or language, and different guests are served different breakfasts.
