It looked inviting from outside, with a classic design and a twist, but we couldn’t get in.

The setting is spectacular, just 200 meters from the sea. There’s a barbecue, an oven, a pool, and four bedrooms that sleep seven, or one more person if they can use the living room sofa. The kitchen equipment is very complete. My two complaints are the Flex mattresses, which need replacing, and the cockroaches outside. For a place like this, and the price, those two problems really should be fixed. They mattered a lot to us.

We spent all year planning a dream holiday and saved up for a special occasion. What a disappointment. It looked nothing like the photos. We weren’t given the keys, they were just left at the entrance. The furniture was neglected and VERY DIRTY. Every plate and cup was mismatched, even the unbroken ones, like something from a department store. The listing showed rooms with two beds, but one room had just one bed and a sofa bed, if you could call it that. The springs were nearly falling out, and the legs wouldn’t lock together. You could fall if you didn’t sit right at the very top. Tiny cockroaches nested in the stone headboards and came out while we slept. During the day, larger ones were there too, fighting with the ants that were around day and night. Ants even appeared in a plain glass of water, so don’t leave one out. Outside, the plants were dried up and there was trash everywhere, which was a shame with such a beautiful landscape around the property. The barbecue and its equipment looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in years. Anything that wasn’t broken was filthy and unusable. The outdoor bathroom was literally like a sauna, and dirt and debris on the glass roof blocked the stars. The pool was more like a pond, and a duck seemed to make it its favorite spot throughout our stay. We couldn’t swim because of its droppings. The awnings in the photos were dirty, and the hammock was broken. The worst moment was a huge cockroach crawling onto my son’s face at night. I complained the next day using the contact number. A man who said he was Herminio, though I don’t really know him, answered and demanded that the house be cleaned and the sheets changed. I can’t tell whether they changed some beds by entering without telling us when they might come in, but nothing was cleaned during our seven days there. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the power tripped whenever we tried using the oven and/or microwave. Charging €500 a night for that nightmare is more than a shame. In my opinion, the cleanliness wasn’t acceptable from a hygiene standpoint. I absolutely don’t recommend it.

You can catch the island's best sunset just a few meters from the world's smallest hotel. The villa feels wonderfully secluded while still being near the main border areas, and the pool was always clean.
